Dr. Cho. grew up in Southern California. He attended the
University of California, Irvine for his undergraduate studies
earning a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry degree.
Dr. Cho then went on to the University of Southern California
for his doctorate in dental surgery.
Periodontal and Dental Implant training consisted of a 3
year residency program at the Ohio State University. In addition
to earning his Certification in Periodontics, he earned a
Masters of Science in Dentistry by completing a clinical research
study examining the effects of mechanical trauma to gum tissue
and teeth. Dr. Cho has presented his research and surgical
cases nationally and internationally. Dr. Cho’s research
results and surgical cases are currently in the process of
being published in peer reviewed journals. During his residency,
Dr. Cho was chosen as Chief Resident in the Department of
Periodontology.
Dr. Cho has had extensive training and experience performing
periodontal procedures such as: corrective and regenerative
periodontal treatment, soft tissue management, as well as
pre-implant and implant placement surgical techniques. Dr.
Cho strives for the best possible result under the most comfortable
setting and only uses the most extensively researched materials
for all procedures performed. Dr. Cho is licensed to perform
intravenous (IV) sedation to make treatment visits more comfortable.
Dr. Cho is a Certified Periodontist and is a member of the
American Association of Periodontology, American Dental Association,
California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Association,
and the American Association of Dental Research.
